      Sapo Naruteo (Ferry)

      A reservoir stretches as far as 3.1km upstream and creates a good environment as a summer resort. Since Korea’s largest natural ecology park is nearby, visitors can enjoy fishing and touring at the same time. It is one of a few large reservoirs in Jeollanam-do and the bloodline of the Hampyeong Plain.

      If one follows the winding riverside road, he or she can see migratory birds enjoying themselves. It is the habitat of Natural Monuments including golden bats, black-headed storks and golden eagles, and nearby Suam Park provides visitors with an excellent resting place. Since it leads to Yongcheonsa Temple, a 1,000-year-old ancient temple, it is cited as a popular driving course.

    • Hampyeong – Toward Yeonggwang (National Road No. 23) 10km – Enter Natural Ecology Park – Daedongji
    • Hampyeong – Toward Yeonggwang (National Road No. 23) 13km – Singwang-myeon – Turn left and 4km in front of Singwang Middle School – Daedongji
    • Main fish: Prussian carp, carp and catfish
    • Bait: Paste and earthworms
    • Point: Spring – Upper stream in Weolam-ri and Gyecheon-ri
