      Anak Beach

This is a small beach developed on July 13, 1991, and the beautiful white sandy beach stretches as long as 200m. The white sandy beach and nearby pine trees provide residents and vacationers with an excellent resting place in summer. Fresh mullet, 3-legged octopus and banded shrimp from Hampyeong bay foreshore are appetizing foods in summer, and since it is still relatively unknown, visitors can enjoy cleanliness and quietness. As stoneworks and the underground water facility were recently renovated and amenities including restrooms and bathrooms were installed, it has been visited by a growing number of tourists.

Anak Beach is also cited as a favorite driving course by many people. Quiet Anak Beach with its lyrical atmosphere is most beautiful when dusk is about to fall.

Pine groves along the beach and a yellow children’s pool on a nearby spacious foreshore are open to the public, and a short-necked clam farm run by the Weolcheon Fishing Village Association is open while the beach is open. An eel catching event held in a 660㎡ foreshore pool is also exciting. A soccer field, jokgu field and basketball court are open all the time, and people can enjoy catching crabs in the evening by using an electric torch alone.
