      The Korea Chrysanthemum Festival was started with the theme, “Enjoy the affluence of autumn and chrysanthemum scent” in the autumn of 2004 in an effort to establish Tour Hampyeong with themes for all seasons and lay the foundation for a successful Hampyeong Butterfly and Insect Expo 2008.

      Tourists who visited the festival were touched by the scent of chrysanthemums and autumn flies, and it has emerged as one of the best festivals after the Hampyeong Butterfly Festival.

      Live insects including dragonflies, grasshoppers and katydids are exhibited along with various chrysanthemum works, and diversified experience events reminding many of their hometown are offered.

      One can bake and eat traditional autumn foods such as sweet potatoes, beans, etc., and the Structure Making Experience Site allows children to make eye glasses, pinwheels, insects, etc., using kaoliang stalks.

      Tourists visiting the festival venue are mesmerized by the scent of chrysanthemums and autumn butterflies, and wild chrysanthemums and autumn insects also seduce many visitors.
